Itinerary
Sunday
Depart Leyland at 08.00hrs for our journey to South Wales, with a lunch stop in Worcester en-route.
Monday
Full Day - Today's excursion takes us to the Royal Mint for a guided tour to discover the journey of the coin with a factory visit, uncover 1,100 years of history as you journey through the wonderful Royal Mint exhibition. In the afternoon we visit Mumbles located at the beginning of the Gower Peninsula's coastline, wander the Victorian Pier, high-end shops and quirky galleries, it's a great destination for foodies too, why not sample some of the 'fresh off the boat' seafood, handmade chocolates or World-class ice cream while enjoying the magnificent views.
Tuesday
Long Half Day - Todays excursion takes us on a visit to the romantic Gothic masterpiece Tintern Abbey, don't forget your camera as you wander through the wonderful grounds and abbey. In the afternoon join us on a visit to historic Chepstow, overlooking the River Wye, allowing time to explore and obtain lunch before returning to the hotel mid-afternoon.
Wednesday
Full Day - This morning our excursion takes us to Pant for a heritage rail journey with views of the Brecon Beacons National Park, with time allowing for a visit to Pant station tea rooms before boarding the train. Following our journey, we have an afternoon visit to Penderyn Distillery, home to Welsh Whisky.
Thursday
Check out of our hotel following breakfast for our journey home with a lunch stop in Oswestry en-route.
